Arm Tightening

It is the removal of fat accumulations in the arm area. It can be applied to both women and men.

When Is It Applied?

It can be applied at any time. It is an ideal surgery to get rid of resistant fats, especially after reaching a stable weight with a healthy life, sports and diet.

Before Surgery

Medical information about the person is obtained, a general body examination is performed. The areas where fat will be taken are determined. Care is taken not to have excess skin. Skin elasticity is checked. Incision sites are determined. Appropriate photography is done.

Which Methods Are Used To Remove Fat?

There are conventional, ultrasonographic and laser-assisted fat removal methods. The most classical one is the conventional fat removal with the help of metal cannulas.

In other methods, laser or ultrasound energy is given through the same incisions. The fat cells are broken down and the fat is easily aspirated. These methods are easier and more effective and provide quick healing. They also help the skin to recover more easily.

Surgery

It is performed under general anesthesia. It takes about 1 hour. Holes of 0.5 cm are made close to the areas to be treated. At first, special fluids prior to liposuction are injected. The purpose of this is pain and bleeding control. Fat tissue is removed with suction in the arm with appropriate cannulas. A light pressure bandage is applied. Arm tightening is often of operation applied in addition to other surgeries. If additional surgeries are performed, the duration varies.

After Surgery

Eating starts in the early period. The patient is mobilized after eating. Drain is not used. The patient is discharged on the same day. There may be pain, swelling and bruising. Bathing is allowed within two days. Patient can return to work in five to seven days. Heavy activities are allowed after 1 month.

Side Effects

There may be unwanted effects due to general anesthesia or surgery. Irregularities can be seen in the surgical area. In order to minimize this, it is necessary to use a pressure garment regularly. If you do not pay attention to your fluid intake and diet after the procedure, the success rate will decrease.

Result

If weight is not regained, the results are permanent. Satisfaction rates are high. A healthy appearance is obtained with a decrease in fat. Arm thinning with fat extraction method is not recommended for patients with excess skin. Arm lift surgery is recommended for these patients.
